The predecessor of the ComfortSling Plus, the Liko ComfortSling, has long been a popular sling that now, after a design change, has been renamed. Compared to the earlier ComfortSling, the ComfortSling Plus is wider and longer, which means that sizes now are somewhat larger. Thanks to the new design, the sling now gives the patient better sitting comfort and an increased feeling of security. The changes also mean that the distance to the sling bar has been increased, which can give some patients a better perceived sense of comfort.
ComfortSling Plus is the preferred choice of many amputees and patients who are particularly pain-sensitive, e.g. rheumatics.
The arms are held inside the sling. The sitting posture is essentially upright, but, in combination with Sling Cross-bar 450 or Sidebars and extension loops, it is semi-recumbent.
ComfortSling Plus is available in three sizes: M, L and XL.
Different Fabrics and Designs
The ComfortSling can be ordered in different fabrics and designs. When the sling is to be left under the patient for a longer period after completion of transfer, we recommend net polyester.
The ComfortSling Plus is also available with a padded seat (synthetic sheepskin) for patients who are highly sensitive to pressure.
For bathing and showering, there is a plastic-coated net version, which allows water to pass through; it can be wiped off and dries quickly.
For lifting to and from the toilet, we recommend the ComfortSling Plus with Hygiene Opening, mod 310. See "Product List - Slings" below.
Important considerations
Mod 310 can be specially ordered with a smaller hygiene opening.
More information can be found in the Instruction Guide.
