Conquest Hospital in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex has recently purchased six Hill-Rom TotalCare SpO2RT® Connect systems for use in its Intensive Care Unit from funds donated by the Bexhill League of Friends. Following the completion of this order the hospital is participating in a new campaign organised by Sainsbury’s, Hastings in order to raise money for additional medical equipment.
To kick off this project, members of Sainsbury’s staff together with volunteers have just spent three days raising £3470.00 at the Sainsbury’s superstore in Hastings. The highlight of the event was on Saturday when Hill-Rom supplied a TotalCare SpO2RT® Connect system for the day to show people the true benefits of this outstanding product.
“We were only too happy to help the team at Conquest with this latest fundraising initiative. The level of interest generated by the bed certainly took us by surprise and we hope to help out in other ways over the coming months,” commented Hayley Moss, Hill-Rom’s Country Product Manager.
“We were delighted that members of the Hill-Rom team attended the second day of fundraising and took time to demonstrate different elements of the TotalCare SpO2RT® Connect such as CLRT (Continuous Lateral Rotation Therapy), percussion and vibration. This kind of support from our suppliers is so beneficial when fundraising as it allows those donating to actually see what they are contributing towards. We are extremely grateful!” commented Pauline Simes, Critical care Matron at Conquest Hospital.
With this latest version of the TotalCare SpO2RT® system Hill-Rom has developed the most easy-to-use caregiver interface – a colour touch screen interface with improved graphical representation of key data. In one survey 90% of nurses could immediately use the interface without additional training. The TotalCare SpO2RT® assists patients through increasing levels of mobility using Continuous Lateral Rotation Therapy, its unique FullChair® position and Stand Assist with the Chair Egress function.
