Swedish Successes in China

In the vibrant city of Peking, there is something as unexpected as a Swedish care home. Or, to be correct, a Chinese care home of Swedish design.

In connection with the inauguration of the Intech care home in the autumn of 2006, Liko and Intech wanted to alert the Chinese population to the risks of manual transfers.

In order really to focus on the field, we decided to hold an official donation and inauguration, together with the enormously popular ping pong legend in China, Jan-Ove Waldner.

Together with the Swedish ambassador Mikael Lindström, high Chinese officials and representatives from the big media, J-O Waldner handed over a patient lift to a Chinese national hero, a policeman who had been
injured while on duty.

Thanks to this simple present, many big Chinese media were alerted to the questions of patient transfers. This also portrayed Sweden as a pioneer in geriatric nursing.

We hope that this means that they are on the way to a safer and more secure working environment.

From the very beginning, consideration for those for whom we develop our products has been our most important guiding star. Our vision, to always improve quality of life for patients and caregivers, is reflected in our daily activities.
