Spinal Injury Patient Film

When a patient is admitted to hospital with a spinal cord injury (SCI) it is often traumatic for their family friends and loved ones too. Inspired by patient feedback, "From Darkness Into Light" helps explain the core issues and provide patient insight.

Hill-Rom are committed to providing products and services to support our customers and we are also proud to spread our work outside of our core business to support issues and concerns in the market place.

On this occasion Hill-Rom have paired up with 'A Glory Film Co' to create a charitable film for Spinal Injury patients, their family and friends.

Spinal Injury brings sudden and devastating change to a person's life. It is traumatic for patients, but also their family, friends and advocates, who also suffer fear, confusion and helplessness.

Investigation has highlighted the need for more information at the early stages of Spinal injury. To help solve this problem this national wide film is now available to help those suffering: to help them structure their thoughts, better understand the situation, and be positive.

The film should be made available at the time of greatest need. It can act as a useful supporting asset for the medical team, helping them communicate more effectively and in a case specific way.

The production team included volunteer experts such as Director Marcus Dillistone, who garnered numerous awards, Dr. Anba Soopramanien, MD. PhD, Victoria Holton and Glynis Canney.

We hope that you will find this film useful in your facility. For more information and discussion with the community, please follow the Facebook page "SPINAL INJURY PATIENT FILM".
