AvantGuard 800 Acute Care Bed

AvantGuard 800 Acute
Comfort, Safety and Efficiency

Increasing the safety and independence of your patients.

Incorporating countless features to facilitate safer patient mobility and ease of use, the AvantGuard® 800 bed has been designed with you and your patient’s safety uppermost in mind.

Egress handles, for example, help improve safety by providing security to the patient when mobilising to and from the bed. What’s more, these specially designed handles enable your patients to mobilise more freely in bed, thereby reducing the complications associated with immobility.

Features

Reducing patient risk
The AvantGuard® 800 bed lowers to 39 cm, easing patient ingress and egress and reducing the risk and severity of patient falls.

With both CPR and Trendelenburg at your disposal to provide immediate care, emergency positions can be achieved quickly and safely when required, while the headboard is instantly removable to ensure quick access to the patient. Side rails equipped with a double lock-out system further enhance the safety offered by the AvantGuard® 800.

Positioned away from the patient egress and ingress, the brake pedal on the AvantGuard® 800 greatly reduces any risk of accidental deactivation of the brake system.

Improving your nursing activities
The AvantGuard® 800 offers features designed to reduce the demands placed on caregivers. It will save precious nursing time spent performing routine or repetitive tasks such as moving and assisting patients in and out of bed.

User-friendly controls
User-friendly controls make your essential tasks much easier. For instance, an ergonomically designed control on a flexible arm is always accessible to both nurse and patient, encouraging patient independence and autonomy.

Easier patient mobilisation
The convenient positioning of the AvantGuard® 800’s side rail release mechanism - removes unnecessary bending and the egress handles help assist the patient out of bed, allowing the bed to take the weight of the patient when moving them to the upright position.
