Working with governments & health systems to prepare to treat, monitor and move more patients in acute settings, including technology to automatically detect signs of possible patient deterioration.
CARE TEAM COMMUNICATIONS EXTENSION:
Preparing for care teams to stay connected across temporary spaces in hospitals and adjacent temporary facilities, as well as home or remote working spaces.
We are monitoring our product inventory, raw materials and component needs daily while continuing to meet customer demand for most of our products around the world. There is currently no disruption to our manufacturing operations, and we are managing supply risks. Hillrom carefully follows WHO and U.S. CDC directives, as well as individual country guidance regarding transportation and shipping availability, and is maintaining appropriate communication with our customers.

Q: Are additional cleaning products or procedures needed to keep my Hillrom products from spreading the virus?
A: The cleaning products and procedures provided in product documentation are sufficient to clean and disinfect surfaces. Healthcare providers may consider cleaning surfaces more often.
Q: How is the Hillrom inventory looking?
A: In order to meet increased demand, we are more than doubling our production rates for critical care products including ventilators, hospital beds and vitals monitoring devices, and we have increased our equipment rental fleet size. Our fulfillment teams are making every effort to meet customer timing needs, taking into consideration some local challenges with transportation and demand above the normal run rate.
Q: For Hillrom products that I have today, will the spread of COVID-19 affect the services you provide me in my region?
A: Our on-site customer services have not changed, but our service employees in the region are observing recommendations regarding social distancing and avoidance of large gatherings, and we follow all individual hospital guidance. It is hard to predict the impact of COVID-19 spread but every effort will be made to meet your needs.
Q. What specific products do you offer to help support our COVID-19 related efforts in the region?
A: We are using the U.S. Center for Disease Control’s interim guidance for healthcare facilities to prioritize our own efforts: “Preserving healthcare system functioning is paramount. It is critical for healthcare facilities to continue to provide care for all patients, irrespective of COVID-19 infection status, at the appropriate level (e.g., home-based care, outpatient, urgent care, emergency room, or hospitalization). Facilities may need to respond to a surge in patients requiring care. Concentrated efforts will be required to mobilize all aspects of healthcare to reduce transmission of disease, direct people to the right level of care, and decrease the burden on the healthcare system.
